Discord

  • We are encouraging everyone to open a whitelist ticket and whitelist now as we have started a new Whitelist and no longer have the old one. 

    • Being a whitelisted member allows voting, talking in certain channels, posting links,  and opens some new channels. 

  • Discord likes to hide channels, make sure to Show All Channels to be able to see everything. 

Bug Report

  • Release candidate 5 is out and very buggy, charsel commands not working, metal disappearing in crucibles, and many other bugs. Waiting for a more stable RC for testing mods.

Discussions

  • Town Halls 

    • Town Halls are set to take place on Sundays, contingent upon staff availability, which may allow for weekly meetings. 

    • If staff members are unavailable, a written summary of the key points will be posted. 

    • The community will have the opportunity to vote on a preferred meeting time, with choices of 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM.

  • Server

    • The server will undergo restarts every 12 hours. 

    • A vote is required to determine the restart times, which can be set for 12, 3, or 6 AM/PM CST. 

    • Additionally, the machine will be scheduled for a restart every two weeks, and a schedule will be established accordingly.

  • 1.20 Vanilla plus

    • The stable release is set to commence in the new year, with Stable 1.20. Will be starting on a weekend. A vote to select a time frame for the launch, with three-hour blocks available for consideration. Will be waiting for any mods that are world changing/needed upon generation of the world. 

  • Testing

    • We are awaiting a more stable release candidate to initiate mod testing. Once a release candidate is ready, the test server will be updated with the latest stable or updated mods.

  • Spawn

    • The spawn area will serve as a secure refuge for players. It will be stocked with hard stones, sticks, clay, and winter food supplies by the community/staff.

    • Featuring

      • a cozy spawn hut.

      • a fruit garden.

      • a pond with cattails.

      • a storm shelter to weather the storm.

      • a trading post for future modded traders if needed.

  • Class changes

    • Players will be entitled to one free class change by submitting a ticket. Any further changes will require administrative approval. 

    • We are utilizing vanilla classes alongside class-specific recipes to promote trading and interaction among players.

    • Currently, we have opted not to include modded classes due to balance concerns and the significant Json patches required for compatibility with other mods

  • Mods

    • Will be looking at testing out Wildcraft/Herbarium as it adds more to the game with trees, flowers, and food. 

    • Wild Farming Revival will be exchanged for Mushroomz as it is a more balanced mod. 

    • Step Up Elk will be tested and added to the mod list, no more slamming into hills.

    • The release of Bricklayers appears to be a long-term prospect. 

    • Any mod introduced later, once updated, that includes a trader will be added to the trading post near the spawn area.

  • Respawns

    • We will begin with 20 respawns per temporal gear (TG) for the initial days. If we observe issues such as death loops or a lack of enjoyment among players, we can transition to unlimited respawns. 

    • This approach will provide essential feedback and real-time testing for future seasons, particularly regarding balance issues and community preferences for gameplay. Additionally, adjustments can be made dynamically, allowing us to modify elements as necessary to ensure that the community enjoys a positive gaming experience.

    • We are exploring the implementation of an API to monitor death occurrences. If we find that players are dying excessively or experiencing loops, it will be essential for the community to collaborate and provide assistance. 

    • We have consulted with other servers regarding their TG respawn settings, which vary from 3 to 20, with an average of 10 respawns. 

    • The idea of establishing a /home command every 24 hours was discussed but ultimately rejected. Additionally, the proposal for a spawn kit was also denied, with the understanding that the community and staff will ensure that spawn resources are available for new players.

  • Elk

    • We have been made aware that the elks are locked behind the completion of the Resonance Archives (RA). 

    • There is uncertainty about whether access at the Treasure Hunter will be granted solely to players who have completed the RA.

    •  If only one elk can be obtained per trading cycle.
